— Interdepartmental cooperation between the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia has been sustainable for many years. Our Ministries have been successfully implementing a number of areas together. I am confident that your visit is an important step in the development of further constructive and friendly cooperation,” Vadim Sinyavsky said in his welcoming speech.

During the meeting, the Russian colleagues were shown new samples of combat clothing and equipment, as well as the Belarusian side’s developments in the field of life safety training.

— All the samples shown are developed by Belarusian manufacturers, undergo trial operation in our units, and based on the feedback received from rescuers, the equipment is improved and retrofitted, which allows us to produce competitive and emergency-ready products. I am glad to note that the initiative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia is to develop cooperation in the field of equipping its rescue units with the latest developments of Belarusian-made fire rescue equipment, combat clothing and gear. Thus, together we will be able to confront not only emergency situations, but also economic challenges,” summarized the Minister of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus.

A separate program of the meeting was a demonstration of the capabilities of the Educational Center of Safety of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, where the Russian delegation was presented with training sites on transport safety, emergency situation safety, civil defense and fire safety, as well as environmental and criminal safety, safety in ecosystems and healthy lifestyle. In addition, the guests of the center visited interactive training sites on dangerous meteorological phenomena, nuclear and radiation safety, as well as got acquainted with the youth anti-drug site. The Belarusian rescuers told their colleagues about the work carried out in the country to foster a culture of life safety among the population.

We are interested in continuing active cooperation on the whole range of issues discussed today, — Alexander Kurenkov said in his speech.
