The first charity youth ball «Good evening!» with the participation of cadets of the Civil Protection University of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and students of Minsk State Linguistic University took place today at the Educational Center of Safety of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. It was organized by the Belarusian Women’s Union together with the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Education.
Among the guests of honor were Minister of Emergency Situations Vadim Sinyavsky, Minister of Education Andrei Ivanets, member of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Maria Vasilevich, Director of the MTRK «Mir» Representative Office in Belarus, Chairperson of the Belarusian Women’s Union Olga Shpilevskaya, as well as Head of the University of Civil Protection Ivan Polevoda, Rectors of the Minsk State Linguistic University Natalia Lapteva and the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts Natalia Karchevskaya.
Opening the event, Minister for Emergency Situations Vadim Sinyavskiy noted:
«Both the Ministry’s management, its employees and cadets are close to the very principle of helping those in dire need. The format that gives our cadets an opportunity to communicate with charming girls is also attractive. Now in the hall gathered those who will soon build the future of our country and protect the welfare of its citizens, with dignity and honor to perform their tasks. I advise girls to take a closer look. I am sure: the guys from the Ministry of Emergency Situations will not let them down».
The ball is centered on charity. Cornflowers (lapel brooches) made by people with disabilities will be offered to the guys to buy for a symbolic fee and present to a potential companion or companioness in the process of acquaintance. The funds raised will go to the only center for the care of sick horses in Belarus.
During the evening 50 pairs of cadets from the University of Civil Defense of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and female students from Minsk State Linguistic University demonstrated their dancing skills and made this evening really kind.
