Minister of Emergency Situations of Belarus and Deputy Minister of Public Security of Vietnam held talks

Today in the Educational Center of Life Safety of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Vadim Sinyavsky, Minister of Emergency Situations, met with Deputy Minister of Public Security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Quoc Tho.

The parties confirmed their mutual interest in the development of cooperation between the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the implementation of the interdepartmental agreement signed the day before during the visit of a delegation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus to Vietnam.

During the conversation, Vadim Sinyavsky emphasized the significance of the agreements previously reached with Minister To Lamu and expressed the Belarusian side’s firm readiness for productive interaction in a wide range of professional activities with a view to their implementation.

Negotiations between the Ministers of Emergency Situations of Belarus and Vietnam

In addition, at the meeting the parties paid special attention to the issues of practicing the skills of response to various types of emergency situations of both natural and man-made nature. Vadim Sinyavsky noted the readiness of the Belarusian side to exchange experience in this field and invited Vietnamese rescuers to take part in the «Strongest Firefighter-Rescuer» competition to be held in Belarus in September 2023.

It is worth noting that during the meeting, supervisory and preventive activities in the field of fire and industrial safety, as well as material and technical support of the rescue agencies of the two countries and training of highly qualified personnel in the field of protection of population and territories from emergencies were identified as promising areas of Belarusian-Vietnamese cooperation.

It should be reminded that from April 17 to 21, 2023 a delegation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations headed by Minister v. I. Sinyavsky visited Hanoi, following which an Agreement between the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus and the Ministry of Defense of Vietnam on cooperation in the field of prevention and elimination of natural and man-made emergencies was signed.
