Water bodies are favorite places of recreation of citizens. However, any water body, even a long familiar one, is a place of increased risk. The main reasons for unsuccessful and sometimes sad recreation include carelessness of citizens, violation of the rules of behavior on the water. In most cases, tragedies occur during the drinking of alcoholic beverages, when swimming in a drunken state, swimming in prohibited places where there are no rescue stations. Alcohol consumption and recreation near the water are often the causes of death.
Of the total number of people who drowned, 46.8% were under the influence of alcohol (drugs).
