The «Safety in Transport» platform is designed for practicing safety rules in transport and at transport infrastructure facilities. Its main element is a life-size model of an electric train car. Inside the car using video clips and virtual reality technology, the rules of behavior are studied not only in a railway car, but also in the subway, bus and airplane. To simulate emergency situations in the car, additional units are used to simulate the consequences of a head-on collision and smoke in the cabin. Visitors to the center are shown the importance of seat belt use. Failure to wear seat belts can lead to serious consequences.
A line (platform edge) is marked on the platform floor indicating the danger zone, which is crossed by an audible alarm. The visitors of the center are also reminded about the rules of crossing the railway tracks. Every year dozens of people die from train collisions in the Republic of Belarus.
The analysis of cases of traumatization of citizens by rolling stock on railway transport shows that the main reason is the violation of the rules of behavior on the railway tracks by the victims. A separate simulator is designed for practicing evacuation from an airplane.
